Thinking about jumping yards this spring

After a night shift chasing a 12 kV feeder fault, I watched a foreman push to bypass a proper phasing check and skip a second set of grounds, and it’s got me thinking about moving. Who’s got a yard where troubleshooting time is respected (locator, TDR, and a real tailboard) and where safety isn’t lip service — how’s overtime and travel pay looking at your shops this spring?

The yard I’m at really values safety and proper procedures — we get decent overtime pay too. Ever thought about checking out @Yard123?

Sounds like a tough night — i’ve definitely seen it go south when folks skip the basics. @d_morgan81, I’d recommend checking with @Yard123; they really respect troubleshooting time and pay’s been solid. Curious if you’ve got any specific yards in mind?

I’ve been in the same boat, and I think finding a yard that prioritizes safety during phasing checks is crucial. It sounds like @Yard123 values that, plus their overtime isn’t too shabby either. Make sure to ask about their training protocols; that can really make a difference when trouble strikes.
