Text outage reporting and auto credits

We’re rolling out a text-to-report option tonight at 7 PM in the North Loop, which should speed up tickets and get crews better location notes in OMS. Also, once an outage passes 8 hours, we’re flagging accounts for automatic bill credits — if you spot a mismatch or a missed meter in the field, send me the service address so I can correct it fast.

I’ve noticed that having clear location notes really helps the crews. Last time we used text reporting, it cut response time in half! Make sure everyone knows how to send in accurate service addresses.

Using text reporting definitely speeds things up, but one thing I’ve noticed is that having the right keywords can make a big difference. When we rolled this out last summer, our crews got flustered without clear location notes after hours. Maybe a quick guide on effective texting, as you roll this out at 7 PM, could help?
