Prioritizing Safety on the Job

I’ve been thinking a lot about our safety protocols lately, especially after our last project where we had a near miss with the bucket truck. It’s crucial that we keep the lines of communication open within the crew so everyone feels comfortable voicing concerns. What strategies do you all use to ensure safety is a priority on your projects?

I hear you about open communication — when I led our crew, we started daily safety huddles. It really helped everyone feel comfortable sharing their thoughts on potential hazards. Have you tried something similar?

Absolutely agree on the importance of communication. One thing we’ve done is implement a safety buddy system where crew members check in on each other throughout the day. Have you seen this work in your team?
