Landed a “verified remote” storm-desk stint last winter off a Taurus listing — having Milsoft OMS on my resume and a clean MVR shaved days off onboarding. These expire fast, so I keep one PDF packet (journeyman card, CDL, OSHA 10, refs) and apply within the hour via https://powerlineman.com/jobs. Remote’s real, but it’s mostly switching/dispatch or design review, so expect odd hours more than bucket time.

Quick tip from my Taurus Industrial Group remote stint: keep a single PDF “packet” ready (CDL, OSHA-10, certs, references) plus a current home speedtest and note if you’ve got a UPS/hotspot — being able to attach that with the app got me cleared same day… Since these are “real-time” and expire fast, it helps a ton, but small caveat — some “verified remote” roles still want a same-day badge pickup, so be ready for a quick drive.

Jumped on a Taurus posting last December and they slotted me into 12‑hour night rotations within 48 hours — having ArcGIS and Maximo on my resume sealed it. For these “real-time” listings, ask if it’s W‑2 or 1099 and whether OT kicks after 40 or daily, plus what the per‑diem covers. Also, plug in via ethernet and keep a small UPS on your modem/router; OMS calls don’t forgive flaky Wi‑Fi.
